What I did this summer -

I was asked for a Yo Gabba Gabba quilt for a certain little one - so I got right to work in order to beat the Christmas quilting rush - already dropped off at the quilters.  The colors were so outside of my comfort zone - I needed lots of feedback on this one!

I love the quilt design from the first quilt so much, I pulled out this Paris Alexander Henry fabric I had purchased long ago - unfortunately, I ran out of fabric and had to troll the internet for more.  Found some - whew! It came in the mail this week, so I'll be able to finish along with making bread and butter pickles before vacation is over.

And, remember the shopping bags Jo made long ago? I used that pattern and made a shopping bag out of an old vintage sheet that I had.  Love this!

I di make one other quilt - out of my favorite lemon fabric - very modern with very little piecing and not much contrast. Sadly, I didn't take a picture of that but will share when it too comes back from the quilters.  Happy Summer everyone.

  2. What a great way to repurpose a fave tablecloth! LOVE IT! I have NO IDEA who or what Yo Gabba Gabba is. Maybe the empty nest has its advantages. LOL
