Another project from Fresh Quilting! Jo helped me start on the fabric for this- my first kitchen curtain! I was able to get the rod @ JoAnn's with the coupon extravaganza event!

Quilted box
Sunday Morning Quilts has what looked like an easy quilted box that I thought I would try before making Michelle's box for fall. Its supposed to be a scrap project but i used the last of a charm pack that I had leftover from an ABC book I made for Lucy. It went very quickly- i think it took me less than 2 hours. Surprised, me too!!! I had one puckered corner but oh well, it it is what it is!

Quilt for a new baby cousin
Just finished up this quick charm squares quilt for one of my cousins who had a baby recently. Surprisingly I had the hardest time on the gosh darn binding which I ended up having to rip out almost entirely.

Another Fresh Quilting Project for Lucy
My fave book, Fresh Quilting offered an ABC quilted book pattern that I had to make for Lucy! It was a little putzy but not difficult to make. I used Basic Gray from Moda Fabrics.

Fiber Arts from a cooler place
Traditional art provides inspiration for quilting because of its dynamic use of simplified form and vivid colors. I have never seen examples of Intuit (Eskimo) fiber art before these and want you to see them, too. This is the link to the gallery where these are displayed: http://yukonartscentre.com/blog/nunavuts_culture_on_cloth_traditional_inuit_wall_hangings_from_baker_lake/

Happy lemonade on the 4th of July
After our quilt meeting last week I was inspired by Michelle's darling lemon fabric. I asked her if she would mind if i also purchase it, she graciously said go for it! So i did! I wanted a tablecloth for our wire mesh bar table on the deck. After I made the tablecloth I was compelled to make the little bev naps!
Last year for our niece's grad party held at house I made the quilt centerpiece which I used at the table today - happy 4th!

Waiting for a little cupcake to appear
I finished this cupcake quilt a while back at the annual quilt weekend with Mom and Michelle. I put it away for a future grand baby. Alyssa will be here next month! Of course I HAD to make a hat to match the quilt. I can't wait to see and meet the new grand baby. Can't believe I have two now!
