Label and Backing

I wanted a label but didn't want to take hours doing one. First, I tried transfer paper, but it left an awful mark on the fabric. UGLY. So I taped a piece of fabric to a sheet of cover stock paper and ran it through my printer with the highest dpi available. Not bad. Sewed it into a block, and used some plain solids in my color scheme to frame it out on the back. Done. I'm going to the quilter this week. I'm having trouble with the pix and text jumping around, so I'll post photos in a separate posting.

Finished sewing my top together yesterday. Today, the backing. I'm pondering my options for a label, but it will be simple, simple, simple. I want to get this to the quilter.

Pillowcases

I've long been enamored with pillowcases and recently started a collection of white, has to be white, embroidered ones - no orange embroidery, only pink, green, red, maybe yellow. Anyway, I saw this link and thought of you guys! Handmade pillowcases with a french seam. Yeah! It's exciting isn't it? And the best part, a tutorial chock full of pictures.
