Friday night sewing

We had a fabulous time at Jo's with the wonderful Mac sharing tips and tricks. A big thank you to Jo for hosting!

Sadly, we had such a great time with the babies, and eating, and sewing - alas, I have no pictures! None at all.

For those of you who weren't able to come, I'm sure we'll have another one!

Halloween DIY

One of my favorite bloggers does DIY crafts for a thrift chain in Seattle. Check out the ideas for this year (along with faves from last Halloween.)

I'm combing the thrift stores for some of those ceramic owls, birds and cats. I really want to spray paint! And, I really like the mummy vases....

Iowa State Quilt

Dropped off the quilt on a Saturday, picked up on the next Friday! Joni is awesome. I also appreciated the fact that she was willing to try a "custom design." I asked her to stitch "Go Cyclones" on the quilt and I think it turned out really cool. Of course, I didn't think about the words being backwards on the back of the quilt - but that's ok because it just looks like a neat design. So now I am just furiously working on the binding so I can take it out to Nick on the 1st.
